Deleting Facebook Data in Vtiger

Deletion of Data Collected Through Facebook in Vtiger

When you connect your Vtiger instance to one or more of your Facebook accounts, the following records may have been created in the CRM:
  • Facebook Lead Forms
  • Leads & Contacts created through these forms
  • Facebook Social Accounts
  • Posts
  • Comments
  • Facebook Messenger Accounts
  • Messages

Deletion of Facebook Lead Forms and Facebook Leads

To delete lead forms:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to the Settings page.
  4. Click on Facebook under the Extensions section.
  5. Click on Disconnect.
  6. Click OK to confirm.
Now, the connected Facebook pages and the lead forms associated with those pages will be deleted.

To delete Facebook records created via lead forms:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Navigate to the Contacts or Leads module.
  4. Select the Source field in the column section.
  5. Search for the word Facebook to filter the list of records.
  6. Select the filtered records and delete them.
To permanently delete them, clear them from the Recycle Bin module.

Deletion of Facebook Social Accounts

Disconnecting an account:

Follow these steps to disconnect a Facebook account from the Social module:
  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Select Marketing.
  4. Click Social to open the Social module.
  5. Click Manage Accounts on the left-hand side to open the Social Settings window.
  6. Click the More icon (⋮) on the account you want to disconnect.
  7. Click Disconnect.
  8. Click OK to confirm.

Removing an account:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Select Marketing.
  4. Click Social to open the Social module.
  5. Click Manage Accounts on the left-hand side to open the Social Settings window.
  6. Click the More icon (⋮) on the account you want to remove.
  7. Click Remove.
  8. Click OK to confirm.

Deletion of Facebook Messenger Accounts and Messages

To disable Facebook Messenger accounts:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Click on Settings.
  4. Click on Widgets under the Websense section.
  5. Select the Facebook tab.
  6. Disable the required Facebook pages.
  7. Click Save.

To delete Facebook chats:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Search for the Live Chats module.
  4. Add the Source field to the list view.
  5. Search for Facebook-related records.
  6. Select those records and delete them.
To permanently delete them, clear them from the Recycle Bin module.
