- What is the Vtiger Sandbox?
- The Vtiger Sandbox mimics Vtiger CRM instance and allows you to learn and test the CRM without impacting the data in your paid CRM account instance. It is particularly useful for testing custom code or low-code extensions created on the Vtiger Application Platform (VTAP).
- When is the Vtiger Sandbox useful?
- The Vtiger Sandbox instance helps you try new configurations and automation flows without impacting your production data.
- In how many days will it take to set up the Vtiger Sandbox?
- It will take two business days to set up the Vtiger Sandbox for the live instance.
- Who can log in to a Sandbox?
- All CRM users can log in with the same username and password into the Sandbox.
- How do we log in to Sandbox?
- Vtiger CRM will provide the URL to the login page after the Sandbox is provisioned.
- How often is the Sandbox instance data refreshed?
- Sandbox data is refreshed once a month, upon request by the customer.
- Is Vtiger Sandbox free?
- No, the Vtiger Sanbox instance is chargeable.
- The fee to maintain a sandbox instance is USD $400 per month ( INR Rs 29,000 + taxes extra).
- Sandbox setup for 1 week to review customer backup or new functionality is USD $400 (One-time).
- How often is the Sandbox instance data refreshed?
- The data in the Sandbox is a copy of your CRM data and is refreshed once a month, upon request.
- What are the charges for Sandbox data refresh?
- Sandbox data is refreshed once a month, upon request by the customer.
- If refresh is requested more than once a month, the customer needs to make a payment of $400 (USD) and get a confirmation and approval from the Vtiger Billing team before .
- How is the Vtiger Sandbox different from your Vtiger CRM instance?
- The data in the Vtiger CRM is the Organization data. This data might be restricted to CRM users based on the their roles and responsibilities. You can perform all the functions available for your edition.
- The data in the Sandbox is a copy of your CRM data. It is available for all CRM users and can be used for learning about the CRM, testing features, etc. This data is refreshed once a month, upon request. Not all actions are available in the Sandbox. And, to ensure that emails are not sent to customers from the Sandbox instance, the Sandbox will have the following restrictions:

| Email Campaigns | Customer will not be able to create/send an email campaign from crm, he can just view existing records |
| Outgoing server | The default configuration ( mail.od1.vtiger.com ) is deleted from the CRM. Customers will not be able to set up new outgoing server details, as this page will be displayed as a blank page. |
| Cron Jobs | All cron jobs, like workflows, notifications, etc., are disabled and can't be used. |
| SMS Server | SMS services will be disabled. |
| Push Notifications | All push notifications to mobile devices will be disabled. |
| All Extensions | Google, Office 365, Tally, QuickBooks, and any other integrations will be disabled. |
| Billing page | Will not be available for Sandbox |
