Images are not showing in Outlook

Why are images not showing in MS Outlook?
There can be multiple reasons for this issue. We have listed below a few ways you can resolve it.
Using Outlook in safe mode
If images are shown in safe mode, then the issue might be because of the add-ins. To learn more about this process, click here.
Reviewing internet settings
- Search Internet Options in the Start menu of your computer.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Go to the Security section and enable the checkbox for Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
- Click OK.
Reviewing picture placeholder settings in Outlook
- Open Outlook and click New Email.
- Click File > Options > Mail > Editor Options.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Enable the checkbox for Show picture placeholders.
- Click OK.
Unblocking images for a single email
To unlock images in a single message that comes from a trusted source,
- Select the InfoBar at the top of the message.
- Click Download Pictures.
Note:
- If you preview a message and click Download Pictures, then the image is saved automatically and displayed the next time you open the message.
- If you click Download Pictures in an open message, you must first save the message to view the pictures the next time you open it.
Unblocking images for all messages
- In Outlook 2016, 13, and 10:
- Click File tab > Options > Trust Center.
- Click Microsoft Outlook Trust Center Settings > Trust Center Settings.
- Disable the Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items checkbox.
- In Outlook 2007:
- Click Tools menu > Trust Center > Automatic Download.
- Disable the Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items checkbox.
Unblocking images from trusted senders or domains
You can mark known senders or domains as Safe Senders to unblock images sent by them.
- Open a message received from a known sender or domain.
- Do a right-click on a blocked image.
- Select one of the following options:
- Add Sender to Safe Senders List
- Add the Domain @domain to Safe Senders List
Other ways
Sometimes Outlook does not show images even though all the configurations are correct. In such situations, you can do the following:
- Clear the Temp folder
- Use a valid Temp folder path
- Repair PST file if corrupt
- Forward your email to check if the images appear in the forwarded email
- Disable firewalls and anti-malware
- Try switching to a different network
