How do I update a record in Vtiger CRM via Zapier?

Using a Zap, you can update only Contact, Lead, and Opportunity records. Also, you can create a Zap to update records in CRM or from CRM to other applications.

Consider the following example to update a contact from Google Sheets based on primary email.
Follow these steps to update records in the CRM:


Step 1: Choose the trigger app
  1. Choose the trigger app as Google Sheets
  2. Select trigger: New or Updated Spreadsheet Row
  3. Select Google Account
  4. Set up Google Spreadsheet row
  5. Test the step.
Step 2: Choose an Action app
  1. Choose an Action app: Vtiger
  2. Select Vtiger CRM action
  3. Select Vtiger CRM account
  4. Set up Vtiger CRM contact
  5. Select Search Field: Primary Email
  6. Test the account
  7. Name your Zap
  8. Turn it on. 
When this Zap is triggered, the CRM updates a record if the conditions match, else a new record gets created.
