Learn how to sync IndiaMART leads with Vtiger CRM.

Introduction

Bring your leads from IndiaMART into Vtiger CRM!

 

You can sync your leads from IndiaMART into the CRM and manage your leads from a single platform.

 

Before we learn how to use IndiaMART, there are a few things you need to know.

  • IndiaMART sync is accessible only to Admin users.
  • You can sync IndiaMART leads with either the Leads or Contacts module only.
  • The sync is one-way, that is, from IndiaMART to Vtiger CRM. 

Installing IndiaMART

IndiaMART is a paid extension that costs $25 per month. In order to use it, you have to buy it by setting up your contact details.

 

Follow these steps to set up your card details:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Look for the Extensions section.
  5. Click Extension Store.
  6. Click Set up your card details on the top right corner.
  7. Enter your card number, expiry date, and security code (CVV).
  8. Click Save.
 

Note: If you have outdated card details already set up, you can click Reset and enter the new details. 

 

Now that your card details are ready, you can buy the extension!

 

Follow these steps to install IndiaMART:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Look for the Extensions section.
  5. Click Extension Store.
  6. Search for IndiaMART Integration and click Buy.
 

Just a few more configurations before you can start using the extension!

Configuring IndiaMART to Sync Leads

You can sync your IndiaMART leads with Vtiger CRM’s Leads or Contacts module. Depending on the module you choose, your leads will be stored as lead records or contact records in the CRM.

 

Follow these steps to sync leads:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to Essentials.
  4. Select Leads or Contacts.
    1. You cannot sync your leads to both modules.
  5. Click the Sync button shown on the top of the List View.
  6. Go to IndiaMART and click Configure.
  7. Enter the following information in the Setup screen:
    • Registered Mobile Number - Enter the number associated with your IndiaMART account.
    • Version - IndiaMart has release new version V2 API's, in case you are using latest version then select 2 in Version dropdown
    • CRM Key - You will find this information with IndiaMART. To learn about it, use this link for Version 1 API's click here. For Version V2 API's refer the article here.
    • Sync From - Choose the dates starting from which you want to sync leads.
    • Configure Field Mapping - Choose which fields from IndiaMART should map to which fields in Vtiger CRM. You can even add additional field mappings.
      • The mapping supports only Text, Text Area, Rich Text Area, and Phone field types.
  8. Click Save.
 

Note

  • The synced records’ Source field is set to IndiaMART.
  • The synced data may take up to 30 minutes to reflect in the CRM because of a CRON job that runs in the backend.
 

Leads are synced after you perform the steps above. What next?

  • You can view the sync log that shows the details of the leads that were synced.
  • You can get any new leads that were added to IndiaMART after the sync was done.
 

Let us see how to do both one by one!
 

Viewing the Sync Log

You can access the Sync Log from the Leads or Contacts module but only after configuring the sync.

 

Here is the information it provides:

  • The number of records that were created, updated, skipped, or deleted in the CRM.
  • The module into which they were synced. This depends on whether you perform the sync from Leads or Contacts.
  • The date and time at which they were synced.

The page slider on the top-right will help you navigate to the next page.

 

Follow these steps to access the Sync Log:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to Essentials.
  4. Select Leads or Contacts.
  5. Click the Sync button shown on the top of the List View.
  6. Go to IndiaMART and click Sync Log.
 

You can also see when the last sync was done by looking at the bottom-right corner of the Sync Log.

Updating the Sync Log

Imagine you synced IndiaMART leads into Vtiger CRM once and then added more leads in IndiaMART a few days later. Now, you want to bring the new leads into Vtiger CRM.

 

What you do in this case is update the Sync Log. 

 

Follow these steps to update the Sync Log:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to Essentials.
  4. Select Leads or Contacts.
  5. Click the Sync button shown on the top of the List View.
  6. Go to IndiaMART and click Sync Log.
  7. Click the Sync Now button on the top.
 

All the new IndiaMart leads are synced into Vtiger CRM.

 

Tip! If you want to change the module to which the leads are synced, you can do it from the Field Mapping screen.
