The email client installed on my computer opens every time I click the Email icon to write an email. Is there a way to use Vtiger to compose emails?

Your email client opens because you have not set Vtiger's email composer as default.
Follow these steps to use Vtiger's email composer as a default to write emails:
Follow these steps to use Vtiger's email composer as a default to write emails:
- Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
- Click the My Preferences button. This will redirect you to the My Preferences page.
- Click the Edit icon on the right side of the page.
- Scroll down to the Vtiger Usage Preferences block.
- Enable the checkbox under the Use Vtiger's Mail Composer? field.
- Click Save.
