Can I link any external folder or a document to Vtiger’s Documents?

Yes, you can link any external folder or document to Vtiger’s Documents. 
Follow these steps to link the document:
  1. Log in to the CRM.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to Essentials.
  4. Click Documents under Collaboration.
  5. Click + Add.
  6. Click Link. The Link Document window opens.
  7. Choose one of the following document sources from the Link From option.:
    1. From File URL
      1. Title: Provide a title for the document.
      2. File URL: Paste the URL.
      3. Assigned To: Select the person who is assigned to this document.
      4. Folder name: Provide the folder name where the document has to be uploaded. 
      5. Document Type:  Select from Public, Private, or Confidential. 
      6. Click Create.
    2. Google Drive Folder
      1. Folder name: Provide the folder name where the document has to be uploaded. 
      2. Assigned To: Select the person who is assigned to this document.
      3. Choose file: Choose the file you want to upload. 
      4. Click Link Selected Files.
    3. Dropbox 
      1. Folder name: Provide the folder name where the document has to be uploaded. 
      2. Assigned To: Select the person who is assigned to this document.
      3. Choose file: Choose the file you want to upload. 
      4. Click Link Selected Files.
    4. OneDrive 
      1. Folder name: Provide the folder name where the document has to be uploaded. 
      2. Assigned To: Select the person who is assigned to this document.
      3. Choose file: Choose the file you want to upload. 
      4. Click Link Selected Files.
