What is a Task?

Tasks are planned activities, typically with a due date. Task Type identifies the type of task. Sales reps typically have tasks like prospect research task,  RFP response task, and proposal development task.  Marketing specialists might have tasks to develop blogs, videos, send newsletters, and other promotions.
