Using One View for Courses

In this article, you will learn how to use and perform actions in Courses' One View.

Using One View for Courses 

In this section let us learn about the One View actions for a course.

The Courses One View displays concepts, exercises, quizzes, certification, and dependency courses linked to a course. 

You can also perform the below actions for each of these components in the One View: 

  • Link concepts, exercises, and quizzes to a course and other actions
  • Add concepts, exercises, and quizzes
  • View and edit certifications (if any)
  • View and edit a dependency course (if any)

Actions available are: 

  • Link
  • Add
  • Sort
  • View
  • Edit
  • Unlink

Note: You can customize what you can view in the One View of a course. To learn how to customize a module’s One View click here.

 
 

Follow these steps to go to the One View of a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses.
  5. Click a course for which you need to see the components. The Summary View opens. 
  6. The One View section is displayed by default. 
    1. Click  One View in the widgets bar on the right corner of the screen if it is not.

You are now in the One View of a course.

In the One View of a course record, you can perform the following actions:

  • Linking concepts, exercises, and quizzes to a course and other actions
  • Certification actions
  • Dependency Course actions

Linking concepts

 


Follow these steps to link a concept to a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Click the Link icon (Link Concepts). The Link Concepts window opens up.
  9. Select the required concept.
  10. Click the Link button.

You have now successfully linked a concept to a course.

Adding concepts

 
 

Follow these steps to add a concept to a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Click the Add icon (Add Concepts). The Quick Create > Concept or View full form window opens up.
  9. Create a concept. Here the Course detail is auto-filled.
  10. Click Save. If the concept was saved successfully the following success message is displayed, Concept Created! 

You have now successfully added a concept to a course.

Sorting concepts

 
 

Follow these steps to sort (reorder) concepts for a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Click the Sort icon (Sort Concepts). The Concepts window opens up which lists concepts available for the course.
  9. Drag and drop the Reorder icon to reorder concepts.
  10. Click Save. If the reordered concepts were saved successfully the following success message is displayed, Sequence updated successfully.

You have now successfully sorted concepts for a course.

Viewing concepts

 
 

Follow these steps to view concepts available for a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Click the Record Lists icon. The Concept window opens up.
  9. You can view the concepts available for the course.
  10. It also provides the Link Concepts and Add Concepts buttons. Clicking these buttons you can link or add concepts from the Concepts window.

You have now successfully viewed concepts available for a course.

Editing concepts

 
 

Follow these steps to edit a concept:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Hover your mouse on a concept that you want to edit. The More icon pops up.
  9. Click the Edit icon. You will be directed to the Detailed View.
  10. Edit the concept.
  11. Click Save. If your edits were saved successfully, the following success message is displayed, Record updated.

You have now successfully edited a concept.

Unlinking concepts

 
 

Follow these steps to unlink a concept for a course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to the Concepts block.
  8. Hover your mouse on a concept that you want to unlink. The More icon pops up.
  9. Click the Unlink icon. The following pop-up is displayed, Are you sure you want to unlink?
  10. Click Ok.

You have now successfully unlinked a concept for a course.

 

Note: The above actions and procedures illustrated for Concepts remain the same for Linking, Adding, Sorting, Viewing, Editing, and Unlinking Exercises and Quizzes for a Course in its One View.

Certification actions

In a course’s One View, a certificate can be:

  • Added (If unavailable)
  • Edited
  • Duplicated

Adding a certificate

Follow these steps to add a course certificate:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to Certification block.
  8. Click the Edit icon. You will be directed to the Detailed View.
  9. Select a certificate print template under Certification. 
  10. Click Save. If saved successfully, the following success message is displayed, Record updated.

You have now successfully added a course certificate.

Editing a certificate

Follow these steps to edit a course certificate:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to Certification block.
  8. Hover your mouse on a certificate. The More icon pops up.
  9. Click the Edit icon. You will be directed to the Edit Print Template window.
  10. Edit the certificate print template.
  11. Click Save. If your edits were saved successfully, the following success message is displayed, Record updated.

You have now successfully edited a course certificate.

Duplicating a certificate

Follow these steps to duplicate a course certificate:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to Certification block.
  8. Click a certificate. The certificate print template window opens up where you can view it.
  9. Click the More icon. The Actions bar opens up.
  10. Click the Duplicate icon to duplicate it.

You have now successfully duplicated a course certificate.

Dependency Course actions

In a course’s One View, a dependency course can be:

  • Added (If unavailable )
  • Edited

Adding a dependency course

Follow these steps to add a dependency course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to Dependency Course block.
  8. Click the Edit icon. You will be directed to the Detailed View.
  9. Select a dependency course under Dependency Course.
  10. Click Save. If saved successfully, the following success message is displayed, Record updated.

You have now successfully added a dependency course.

Editing a dependency course

Follow these steps to edit a dependency course:

  1. Log in to your CRM account.
  2. Click the Main Menu.
  3. Go to LMS.
  4. Click Courses. The Courses List View opens.
  5. Click a course. The Summary View opens.
  6. Click One View.
  7. Go to Dependency Course block.
  8. Click a dependency course to view it.
  9. Hover your mouse on a dependency course. The More icon pops up.
  10. Click the Edit icon. You will be directed to the dependency course’s Detailed View.
  11. Edit the dependency course.
  12. Click Save. If your edits were saved successfully, the following success message is displayed, Record updated.

You have now successfully edited a dependency course.
