Release Notes 1 - January 2025
Enhancements
All Modules
- Before and After Picklist values in the Date field of all modules.
- Consider the example of the Product or Services modules. These values are helpful if you provide services based on specific periods and the services have date-based validity. Using these Picklist values, you can filter services using the Date field filter. Instead of using a custom date range, you can have before and after values to filter and display data. For example, the before Picklist value can be Previous Financial Year. And the after-picklist value can be the Current Financial Year.
- Here is another example. These Picklist values are also applicable to related lists, like Deals related to Contacts.
Print Templates
- A new Merge Tag is now available in Print Templates to calculate the total of the formula type fields with data type as Integer and Decimal, the value of which can be added to the Section subtotal.
- It can be selected from the Merge Fields > Special fields special fields section.
- Consider the following example. ABC Storage Solutions sells custom mobile storage systems such as containers, racks, etc. They can use the formula field to calculate the quantity of different types sold by multiplying the units within each container type.
Profiles
- You can disable the option to override the default email ID when replying to a case for specific CRM users at the Profile level.
- Consider the following use case.
- Assume Grasspods Ltd., uses multiple helpdesk email IDs to respond to queries, cases, etc., but the default email ID for customer care is happytohelp@grasspods.
- Sometimes customer care teams may reply with a different email ID other than the default ID. With the new Profle-level option, you can prevent CRM support team users from using different email IDs to respond to a case. This ensures all case responses are automatically sent from the default helpdesk email ID, happytohelp@grasspods.
Reports
- The My Preferred Currency field is now available in the Reports module.
- If you choose this option, the report will display a column with the Preferred currency (currency code).
- For example, you can generate a Deal report with values for both the Deal Currency and your Preferred Currency. This will help you analyze the Deal revenue in your preferred currency.
Tally Integration
- When creating a sales order in the Vtiger, charges such as packing, forwarding, freight, loading, and other charges will be synced to Tally as separate ledger entries.
- Note:
- Earlier all these charges were merged into a single ledger under Indirect Expenses.
- If multiple charges synced from Tally are added to an inventory record and then synced back, all charges will be displayed as separate ledger entries for that specific inventory record in Tally.
Tally Integration
- Tally Stock Items to Vtiger Products Sync
- You can now sync the Batch number, Manufactured date, and Expiry date fields from Stock items in Tally to the following fields in the Vtiger Products module
- The Batch number is mapped to the Product Code field
- The Manufactured date is mapped to start_date (Support Start Date)
- The Expiry date is mapped to expiry_date (Support Expiry Date)
- You can now sync the Batch number, Manufactured date, and Expiry date fields from Stock items in Tally to the following fields in the Vtiger Products module
- Tally eInvoices to Vtiger Invoices Sync
- You can now sync eInvoices in Tally to Invoices in Vtiger.
- For the sync to work, you will have to create the following fields under the Vtiger > Tally information block and map the fields from Tally to Vtiger:
- E-way Bill Number
- E-Way Bill date
- Transporter name
- Transporter ID
- IRN
- Acknowledgment Number
- Acknowledgment Date
Workflows
- You can now add a payment link in your emails while creating a Workflow or for a step in the Process Designer.
- For example, you can include a payment link directly with each invoice you send to your customers. This will help them associate their payment with the specific invoice with the benefit of quick decision-making, reducing confusion, and minimizing follow-up communication.
- How does it work
- Configure a Payment Gateway as a default payment provider under Payment Gateways > Default Provider option.
- For Payment module Workflows, Approvals, and the Process Designer, you can add the Payment Link in the Send Email action.
- Once the Payment Link field is added in the Send Email action of a Workflow, Approval, or the Process Designer, the Default Gateway Payment link will be displayed in the email body when the Workflow is triggered. The link will be available in:
- The Email Activity section of the email record.
- The received email
