​Configuring Authorize.net in Vtiger

​Note: This configuration requires you to move between Authorize.net and Vtiger CRM screens. Keep both of them open in different tabs or windows.
Follow the steps below to configure Authorize.net in Vtiger:
Step 1: Configuring Authorize.net in Vtiger CRM
Follow these steps to add Authorize.net as a Payment Gateway in Vtiger:

1. Log in to the CRM.
2. Go to the main Menu.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Payments & Subscriptions under the Inventory section. The Payments Configuration page opens.
5. Click the Payment Gateway tab.
6. Click +Add Gateway. The Add Configuration window opens.

 

7. Enter or select the following information:
   1. Provider: Select Authorize from the available list.
   2. Active: Enable the checkbox to activate the gateway.
   3. Label: Enter the label name for the gateway.
   4. Default: Enable the checkbox to choose Authorize.net as a default payment gateway.
   5. API Login ID: Provide the API Login ID provided by the Authorize.net payment gateway.
   6. TransactionKey: Provide the Transaction Key provided by the Authorize.net payment gateway.
   7. SilentPostURL: Use the right-click to copy the link address. Paste the key into a notepad.
8.  Click Save.​

Step 2: Add the SilentPostURL in your Authorize.net account
Follow the steps below to configure Vtiger in the Authorize.net gateway:

1. Log in to your Authorize.net account.
2. Click the Account tab.
3. Click the SilentPostURL field.
4. Paste the SilentPostURL copied from Vtiger into this field.
5. Click Save.

After you successfully configure the Authorize.net gateway, you can make payments using Authorize.net.

Using the Authorize.net Gateway in Vtiger

Receiving a Payment

You can use the Authorize.net gateway to receive payments from your customers. 
Follow these steps to receive payments using Authorize.net:

1. Log in to the CRM.  
2. Go to the main Menu.  
3. Click Payments under the Inventory app. The List View opens.
4. Click +Add Payments. The Creating Payment window opens.
5. Enter or select information for the following:
   1. Related To: Select the payment-related document from the drop-down.
   2. Related Contact: Select the related contact.
   3. Related Organization: Select the related organization.
   4. Amount: Enter the payment amount.
   5. Status: Select the status from the drop-down.
   6. Mode: Select the mode of payment.
   7. Date Received: Enter the payment date.
   8. Assigned To: Select the assigned user from the drop-down.
   9. Description: Enter a description for the payment.
6. Click Save. The payment record opens.

 

7. Click Send Link. The Select your payment gateway window opens.
8. Click Send Link corresponding to Authorize.net​​​​​​. The Compose email window appears.
9. Compose the email as required. The payment link is inserted into the email body.
10. Click Send.

Note: The Authorize.net payment page displays the invoice number and amount. If multiple invoices are linked, the payment page displays the specific Invoice number for which payment is being requested.

Sending a Payment

Follow these steps to send payments using Authorize.net:

1. Log in to the CRM.  
2. Go to the main Menu.  
3. Click Inventory.
4. Click Payments. The Payments List View opens.​  
5. Click +Add Payments. The Creating Payment window opens.
6. Enter or select information for the following:
   1. Related To: Select the payment-related document from the drop-down.
   2. Related Contact: Select the related contact.
   3. Related Organization: Select the related organization.
   4. Amount: Enter the payment amount.
   5. Status: Select the status from the drop-down.
   6. Mode: Select the mode of payment.
   7. Date Received: Enter the payment date.
   8. Assigned To: Select the assigned user from the drop-down.
   9. Description: Enter a description for the payment.
7. Click Save. The payment record opens.
8. Click Pay Now.
9. Click Send Link corresponding to Authorize.net. The Compose email window appears.
10. Enter the payment details.
11. Click Pay. A success message will be displayed once the payment is sent.

Note: The Authorize.net payment page displays the invoice number and amount. If multiple Invoices are linked, the payment page displays the specific invoice number for which payment is being requested.

Tracking Payments

All the payments you owe your suppliers and the payments your customers owe you are recorded in the Payments module.
Vtiger CRM supports two methods for accepting payments from your customers. You can either initiate the payment after obtaining the customer's banking information or send the payment link directly to the customer.
However, in both cases, payments are processed securely through popular online payment gateways such as Authorize.net.

Follow these steps to access the Payments module:

1. Log in to the CRM.
2. Go to the main Menu.
3. Click Payments under the Inventory App. The List View opens. Here, you can view all the payments processed in Vtiger.

Deleting Authorize.net Gateway

Follow these steps to delete the Authorize.net Gateway:

1. Log in to your CRM.
2. Go to the main Menu.
3. Click Settings. The Settings page opens.
4. Go to Inventory > Payments & Subscriptions. The Payment Gateway page opens.

 

5. Hover over the Authorize.net gateway record and click the Delete icon. Are you sure you want to delete? message pops up.
6. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
