Enable Desktop Notifications on Chrome Web Browsers

Introduction

Enable or Disable Desktop Notifications on your Web browsers. Do not wait until you login to your Inbox to check email notifications or check Vtiger Notifications Center whenever you’re alerted. Enable desktop notifications and get instant alerts.

Note! Desktop Notifications are currently available in Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari browsers.

Enable Desktop Notifications

You can enable or disable your notifications from your web browsers.

Enable or disable on Chrome web browser

Please follow the steps to enable or disable Desktop Notifications on Chrome browser

  1. Click  menu icon on the top right corner of Chrome browser
  2. Select Settings in the drop-down menu
  3. Select Advance Settings
  4. In the Privacy section, click on Content settings

  5. Under Notifications choose to enable or disable the relevant radio button as in the image below

  6. Click Manage exceptions to allow notifications from Vtiger

  7. Click Allow as in the image for enabling or disabling notifications from Vtiger

Note Record assignment notification message to a user includes a link to the related record.

Enable on Mozilla Firebox web browser

Please follow the steps to enable Desktop Notifications on Mozilla Firefox browser

The first time when somebody sends @mentions, you will receive a message notification,
on your browser as below

  1. Click Always Receive Notification to enable or
  2. Click the down-arrow beside Always Receive Notification and Always Block Notifications or Not Now to disable

To Disable Desktop Notifications on Mozilla Firefox web browser

  1. Click  menu icon on the top right corner of Mozilla Firefox browser
  2. Select Preferences in the drop-down menu
  3. Click Content
  4. Under Notification, click choose button

  5. In the pop-up window,

  6. Select your Vtiger URL. Example: https://your_vtiger_url.vtiger.com

  7. Click Remove Site
  8. Click Save Changes
