Vtiger Aide Chrome Extension

Introduction
Vtiger Aide is a feature that lets you have a seamless experience of attending meetings, taking notes, and creating action items.
It is a Google Chrome extension that you can install with a few simple steps. Let us dive into the installation process.
Installing Vtiger Aide
Follow these steps to install Vtiger Aide from Chrome extensions:
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Go to the Chrome web store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions).
- Type Vtiger Aide in the Search the store bar on the left. The extension is shown.
- Click on the extension.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Click Add extension in the popup.
The extension gets installed on your browser.
Now, you can pin the extension to your browser to make it handy.
Pinning Vtiger Aide to Chrome
Follow these steps to pin Vtiger Aide to chrome:
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click the Extensions icon on the top right.
- Find Vtiger Aide and click the Pin icon beside it.
After you pin the extension, you can see it on the right side of the browser’s address bar. Click on Extensions to open Vtiger Aide.
Using Vtiger Aide
After you have installed Vtiger Aide, using it is easy! First, you must log in to your CRM account.
Logging in
Follow these steps to log in:
- Open Vtiger Aide from Google Chrome. It will show you a login page on the right side of the screen.
- Enter your Vtiger username and password.
- Click Sign in.
Vtiger Aide is a reflection of the CRM’s Actions page. After you log in, you will see a list of events and tasks due on the current date and in the near future. This list may be empty the first time you log in, so you must create events and tasks in the CRM to view them in Aide.

Now, let us find out what you can do with Vtiger Aide.
Managing events
Under the Today’s Events section, you see the events whose start date is the current date.
- Clicking on an event under Today’s Events takes you to the event’s Detail View.
- For Google Meet, Zoom Meet, Teams, and Webex, you will see an option to join the meeting. Clicking on Join> will take you to the meeting link.
Additionally, for Google Meet, Zoom Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex Meetings, you will see the Helper option. Read further to learn more.
Helper button
Click the Helper button. There are multiple actions that you can take with its help.
- Click the checkmark on the left to mark the event as Held (closed).
- Mark as Held & Follow up - This option allows you to close an event (mark as Held) and create a follow-up event.
- Reschedule - This option lets you reschedule the event by selecting new start and end dates.
- Join> - You can join the meeting by clicking this button.
- Tasks - Specify the task title and press Enter to create a task (action item). You can additionally set the task status, due date, and assignee.
- Meeting notes - Add the meeting minutes here. This gets copied to the event record’s description.
If the event is of type Zoom Meet or Webex, you get the following additional options:
- The number of invitees who joined vs. the number of invitees who did not join the meeting
- A list of invitees who joined or did not join the meeting
- An option to alert the invitees who did not join the meeting
Managing tasks
The Today’s Tasks section shows tasks whose start date is the current date. Here are the actions you
can perform on the task.
- Mark task as Completed
- Edit task name
- Change task status
- Change task’s due date
Searching for records
Apart from managing your events and tasks, you can also search for relevant records from Vtiger Aide.
Follow these steps to search for records:
- Open Vtiger Aide from Google Chrome.
- Click the Search icon on the top.
- Choose a module from the drop-down on the left.
- Type a keyword in the search bar.
The search results are shown automatically as you type.
Logging out
You can log out of Vtiger any time by clicking the Logout icon on the top. To get reminded of your daily events and tasks again, you must log back in.
Temporarily Disabling Vtiger Aide
If you want to stop using Vtiger Aide temporarily, you can disable it from Chrome’s Extensions page.
Follow these steps to disable Vtiger Aide temporarily:
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click the Extensions icon on the top right of the browser, beside the URL bar. You will land on the Extensions page.
- Look for Vtiger Aide.
- Turn off the toggle button shown at the bottom.
Uninstalling Vtiger Aide
Follow these steps to uninstall Vtiger Aide:
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click Customize and control Google Chrome (vertical ellipsis) at the top right corner.
- Select More tools.
- Click Extensions. A window opens, listing all the extensions you have installed on the browser.
