How do I automatically insert a customer's first name from the marketing list into an email campaign?

Follow these steps to insert the first name of a contact from your marketing list in a Vtiger email campaign.

1. Log in to the CRM.
2. Go to the main Menu > Marketing.
3. Select Email Templates from Marketing Enablement. The List View of Email Templates opens.
4. Click Design from scratch to create or edit your email template.
5. Use the merge tag **$contacts-firstname$** in the content where you want the first name to appear.
6. When you send the campaign, Vtiger will automatically replace the merge tag with each contact's first name, allowing for personalized emails in your marketing efforts.
