Facebook Lead Ads and Lead Forms
Facebook Lead Ads appear on Facebook and allow you to promote your products or services. They also help you discover customers and collect information from them.
Let us take an example. Travel agencies routinely run Ads on Facebook, and they pop up on your Facebook account depending on your interest. Companies use these Ads to generate interest, traffic, and business.
Have you ever clicked on these Ads?
If you had, you would have been prompted to fill in a form and add detail such as such as name, phone number, etc. Upon entering the details, you would have received a call from the travel agency about the trip you are interested in.
The form that you entered your details in is called a Lead Form. Created by Facebook, it is a lead-generating Ad feature that uses forms to collect customer data. You can also add custom questions to help you understand customer requirements.
How is a Lead Ad useful to you?
As a business, you can easily create a Lead Ad and use it to run campaigns and Ads and capture information. And just like that, leads are generated for you with all related data!
But how do you get all this information into your CRM?
Vtiger CRM users can import information from Lead Ads into the CRM. The questions in the Lead Forms actually form the data fields, which are mapped to related module fields in the CRM.
When you integrate your Facebook account with Vtiger CRM:
- Fields in the Lead Form questions sync with the related module fields.
- Data is updated in the CRM.
For example, if you want to capture data for the Contacts module, you must:
- Create questions in the form that captures user data.
- Ensure you have mapped the Lead Form fields to the Contact module’s fields.
Facebook Business Page
You need a Facebook Business Page account to create and run Ads.
Let us see how Leads Ads work
- Create a Facebook business account if you don’t have one already.
- Create Ads about your products or services using Forms.
- Run marketing campaigns using these Ads.
- Ads pop up on the pages of Facebook users.
- Whenever they click on an Ad, a form asks the user to enter their username, email ID, etc.
- Alternatively, users can either sign in or subscribe to your Ad.
- This information is captured in the form of lead data.
- When you integrate your Facebook account with Vtiger CRM, all lead data captured on Facebook is automatically updated into the CRM.
Easy, isn’t it?
Note:
- You can use your Facebook business account to promote your brand, showcase your offerings, capture lead data, interact with your customers, etc.
- You can integrate your Facebook account with Vtiger CRM’s Social module and manage your Facebook account directly from the CRM.

Enabling Duplicate Prevention
When using Facebook Ads Lead forms, keeping your Leads and Contacts records up-to-date is important.
Enabling the Duplicate Prevention checkbox helps ensure that if a customer or contact with an existing record in your CRM fills out a Facebook or Google Ads Lead form, the CRM will update their existing record instead of creating a new one. This helps keep your CRM organized and avoids creating duplicate entries.
