Vtiger in Webex Spaces

Introduction


Webex is a popular collaboration tool from Cisco.
With Vtiger CRM integration, Webex users can access Vtiger Bot from within Webex spaces to view and share contact, deal information.
 

Webex is used by over 100 million users across organizations in all industries.

Here are a few benefits of Webex & Vtiger CRM integration:

  • View and share your Tasks, Contacts, Deals, and Cases directly from Webex team spaces. 
  • Ask Vtiger Bot for your agenda for the day.
  • Get Contact, Deal, Case, or Task information by searching in Vtiger Bot.  
Sign up for a new Vtiger CRM account for your business if you do not have one. 

This integration also enables you to create and insert meeting links quickly when sending emails, chat replies, or meeting invites from the CRM. To know more, click here.


Activating Vtiger in Webex

Follow these steps to install the Vtiger CRM app in Webex Spaces:

  1. Log in to your Webex account.
  2. Click on Apps.
  3. Search for Vtiger.
  4. Click Add to add Vtiger.

Vtiger CRM app is now added to your Webex account.

Actions you can do from Webex

You can do the following from Webex:

  • Share Contact or Deal cards with your colleagues directly within a Spaces conversation.
  • Converse via Vtiger bot to get Contact or Deal information.

Chatting via Vtiger Bot

From the Chat tab in Webex, you can send commands to Vtiger Bot to retrieve information from CRM.
The commands listed below are supported in Vtiger Bot:
  1. My Agenda - You will see upcoming meetings for the day.
  2. Search Contacts *Keyword*- You can search for a contact by First or Last Name, Phone number, or Email address of a contact. If multiple matches are found, Vtiger will return the one created first. For example, Search Contact John, Search Contacts john@testemail.com, etc.
  3. Search Deals *Deal name* - You can search for a deal by its name — for example, Search Deal Grasspods.
    If multiple matches are found, Vtiger will return the one created first.
  4. Search Cases *Case Title* - You can search for a case by the case title.
  5. Search Tasks *Task Subject* - You can search for a task by the task subject.
