 What are Add-ons?

Add-ons are your one-stop shop to get all the add-ons or extensions that you need to run your business smoothly.
 

Up your business game with Vtiger’s add-ons! 

You can customize your CRM account with several free and paid add-ons that serve many business purposes. Install them in a few clicks, and you’re good to go!
 

Accessing add-ons

You can use the add-ons to install or buy extensions if you are an Admin user. Since Standard users have limited access to the CRM, they can contact CRM admins to install add-ons

Follow these steps to go to Add-ons:

  1. Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the Settings button.
  3. Look for the Extensions section.
  4. Select Add-ons under Extensions.
Or
  1. Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the Add-ons button on the bottom left corner of the screen.

Doing this will redirect you to Vtiger’s Add-ons Store, where you can find plenty of CRM add-ons such as Phone Calls, Inventory, SMS Campaigns, etc. Each add-on has a brief description that tells you about its use.  For paid add-on, the price per user per month is also shown in the description.

 

Note: Paid add-ons have a Buy button below them and require you to enter your debit or credit card details. Free add-ons have an Install button and can be installed without entering any payment information.

Buying an add-on

Follow these steps to buy an add-on:

  1. Click the User Menu.
  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. Select an add-on that you want to buy and click Buy.
  4. A pop-up displaying the confirmation message -Are you sure you want to install/ upgrade this Addon? opens. Click Yes.
    • Your account will be billed automatically for the add-on.
    • if you do not have a subscribed account with Vtiger you will be directed to the Billing > Subscription Details page.

Installing and Uninstalling Add-ons

Free add-ons can be installed directly with a few clicks.

Installing an add-on

Follow these steps to install an add-on:

  1. Click the User Menu.
  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. Select an add-on that you want to buy or install.
  4. Click Install. 
  5. A pop-up displaying the confirmation message -Are you sure you want to install/ upgrade this Addon? opens.
  6. Click Yes. If the add-on is installed successfully, the Successful notification is displayed.

After an add-on is installed, you can access it from the CRM. Skip to the ‘Accessing an Add-on’ section to learn how to access each installed add-on in Vtiger CRM.

Uninstalling an add-on

When you uninstall an add-on, it stops showing on the CRM, and you lose access to it. 

Follow these steps to uninstall an add-on:

  1. Click the User Menu.
  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. Click the add-on that you want to uninstall. The add-on page opens.
  4. Click the Uninstall button.
  5. A pop-up displays the following confirmation message -Are you sure you want to uninstall this Addon? opens.
  6. Click Yes. If the add-on is uninstalled successfully, the Successful notification is displayed.

Viewing Add-on Details

Every add-on under Add-ons is given a brief description and actions such as installing and uninstalling an add-on.

Follow these steps to view the add-on details:

  1. Click the User Menu.
  2. Click Add-ons.
  3. Click an add-on. The add-on page displays the following details:
  • Overview: A slightly detailed description of the add-on that may include installation details, usage information, etc.
  • Customer Reviews: Reviews and ratings about the add-on, given by customers 
  • Publisher: Details of the publisher of the add-on.

Accessing an Add-on

 After you install an add-on, where it appears in the CRM depends on what type of add-on it is. For example, if you install the Vtiger Inventory, inventory modules in the add-on appear under Main Menu > Inventory in the CRM.

Google Meet On installing this add-on, you will see Google Meet in the Activity Type picklist in Main Menu > Essentials > Events

Vtiger Live Chat

On installing this add-on, you will see the Web Chats module under Main Menu > Essentials

Surveys

On installing this add-on, you will see the Surveys module under Main Menu > Essentials 

Vtiger Inventory

On installing this add-on, you will see the following modules under Main Menu > Inventory:

SMS Campaigns

On installing this add-on, you will see the SMS Campaigns module under Main Menu > Marketing

Vtiger Privacy Guard

On installing this add-on, you will see the Consents module under Settings > Configuration

Xero Integration

On installing this add-on, you will be able to sync the following between Xero and Vtiger: 

  • Organizations
  • Products 
  • Invoices 
  • Payments

Subscriptions

On installing this add-on, you will see the Subscriptions module under Main Menu > Inventory

Shopping Cart

On installing this add-on, you will be able to sync products into the Products module from eCommerce platforms such as Magento, PrestaShop, etc.

QuickBooks

On installing this add-on, you will be able to sync your contacts and inventory information between QuickBooks and Vtiger

Phone Calls

On installing this add-on, you will see the Phone Calls module under Main Menu > Essentials

Office 365 Connector

On installing this add-on, you will be able to sync your contacts, events, etc. between Office 365 and Vtiger

Mailchimp

On installing this add-on, you will be able to sync your contacts and email campaigns between Mailchimp and Vtiger

Forecast and Quota

On installing this add-on, you will see the Forecast and Quota module under Main Menu > Sales

Esign

On installing this add-on, you will see the Esign Documents module under Main Menu > Essentials

Payments

On installing this add-on, you will see the Payments module under Main Menu > Inventory 

Phone Calls Add-on: Configuring a Phone Number for a User

To be able to make calls via Vtiger, you must install the Phone Calls add-on from Add-ons. After installing the add-on, you will see the Phone Calls module under Main Menu > Essentials
The next step is to set up a phone gateway under Settings > Add-ons > Phone Configuration to start making calls seamlessly. Additionally, you can set up a default phone number for each user to receive and make calls. The phone number of an active gateway can be used for calling.

Follow these steps to set up default phone numbers: 

  1. Click the User Menu on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the My Preferences button. 
    • Doing this will take you to the My Preferences page.
  3. Click the Edit icon on the right side of the page.
  4. Scroll down to the Phone Preferences section.
  5. Enter the extension numbers (phone numbers) that will handle incoming and outgoing calls.
    • Remember that the gateway you choose must be marked as Active under Phone Configuration.

Incoming and outgoing calls are made easy with Phone Calls since it eliminates the need for a separate phone device. To learn more about Phone Calls, click here.
